Home to what so far seems to be a permanent IFP that actually leads into Faerie, this is the main entryway for Fae into Dublin from Faerie. The Green used to be home to a number of sculptures and art exhibits, as well as several notable monuments, but the majority of the area is forever lost to the displaced patch of Faerie reality.
This was the original town. The buildings here are centuries old, with beautiful pillars and artwork. Several tethered bits of Faerie reality have been seen in the area, no more than a building's width, and because it is closest to Stephens Green it is where many fae fresh from Faerie end up first before spreading out.
The largest shopping district in Dublin, it's almost on the outskirts of town. Shopping malls, outdoor markets, specialty shops, and food stores could all be found here, and more. Many stores have closed up shop though, and as with much of Dublin, it's seen its fair share of fighting already.
What used to be the center for governmental offices is now a pile of ruins. The castle, which had withstood the testament of time since the early 1700's, was destroyed during the warping the Earth endured when the walls collapsed and a floating piece of Faerie reality formed over it. The piece has since moved on, but it did its damage.
Plenty of places to go, plenty of sights to see. The northern side of Dublin is more where you'll find the fancier businesses. The electricity is more reliable on this side of the Liffey River, for reasons no one's quite been able to figure out.
Bordering the Liffey River on the south side, this area used to be known as the "touristy" area. However, it became a ghost town overnight - music venues boarded up, street performers disappeared, pubs shut down. It's now one of the major Shade-infested areas, and it's best never to venture in after dark. During daylight, make sure to have plenty of batteries and flashlights.
One of the largest urban parks in the Greater Dublin Area, it's a 15 mile walled-in park. There are areas for playing sports, grassland, tree-lined pathways, and wooded areas. Major spots of interest are the Dublin Zoo in the southern portion, the gardens in the western edge, and the entrance to an underground river that flows parallel to the River Liffey over near the eastern wall. The center of the park is a brick-paved commons that was once crowded and lively, but ever since The Collapse has been devoid of vendors or performances.
There are plenty of other places around Dublin, plenty of hidden nooks and crannies. The south side of town is a little less affluent, a little more grungy, so don't be too surprised at what you'll see this way. It's also home to many of the higher educational institutes in the city.
Where there are cities, there are sewage tunnels and other underground tunnels for maintenance, and Dublin is no exception. Be careful coming down here, many creatures from Faerie have managed to find their way down here. Some fae are also using the pipes and tunnels as ways to get around and as hiding places.
Past the Greater Dublin Area, much of the area is countryside with smaller villages and scenic trails. These areas are less affected by the conflict so far, but who knows what will happen as times moves on.
Just to the southwest of Dublin, these mountains were traditionally the home of many dragon shifters. They're very territorial, so if you see posted signs you'd best pay attention to what they say.
Does something take you outside of Dublin's borders? Perhaps somewhere else in Europe, which is just a short drive away? Wherever you need to go, the sky's the limit. Just remember to stick to the lighted areas.
The vibrant colors and scenery in Faerie mask the fact that Faerie is dying. Perhaps you're in the process of moving everything you think is valuable to Earth, or perhaps you're coming back for a visit while the air is still breathable. Just remember that time moves differently here and a day in Faerie is only an hour in Earth.
Within reason, feel free to go crazy here. There are no limits to what you can talk about, and there is a game subboard as well as a questions/comments subboard open to guests.
