Phoenix Park

One of the largest urban parks in the Greater Dublin Area, it's a 15 mile walled-in park. There are areas for playing sports, grassland, tree-lined pathways, and wooded areas. Major spots of interest are the Dublin Zoo in the southern portion, the gardens in the western edge, and the entrance to an underground river that flows parallel to the River Liffey over near the eastern wall. The center of the park is a brick-paved commons that was once crowded and lively, but ever since The Collapse has been devoid of vendors or performances.
