Taha was standing in the mist. Waiting for someone, all he had received was a note that he was to be here at midnight. Normally these cryptic messages, came from his brothers, yet this was sent from someone unknown. As far as Taha could see, it wasn't a trap, but then a trap was never obvious as a trap. Taha just shivered slightly and pulled his jacket closer to him. As he looked at the entryway. He stood under a tree, in the shadows, singing a song that would make him blend in with the mist.
He looked down, as he cold see his boots were shining, from the water on them. The grass was wet, and the droplets would have reflected the moon, had it been visible. He kicked his boot at the tree and watched how the drops slid from his boots. He just looked up, as he narrowed his eyes, someone was out there. He wondered if that someone was the one that had requested this meeting. Seeing Taha was an assassin, he would bet that the stranger wanted someone wiped of the face of the earth.
That was at least what would make sense. He didn't move, his song kept him hidden from all humans, however not from faes. It would be a waste of time to hide himself from faes, as the one he was meeting would be most likely be a fae. Seeing he had gotten the coded letter, and had been at the library to decipher it. It had not been a long message, it was simple. St. Stephens Green at modnight.
It had been short, but to the point. Taha was sure it could not be a human that had sent the message, but of course there was always a possibility. However they would not find him, he would find them. If it was a fae, they would find him. Taha was arrogant enough to believe he could take down any fae that came, but he knew deep down inside that there would always be one he could not take down. One that was faster than him, smarter or more cunning. Any fae that was like Taha would not hold back from killing the competition. Taha had done it before. More than once.
He let his hand slide through his hair, as he simply looked at the shadow. Could it be someone that controlled the shadows, or was it simply the mist hat was playing tricks on him. He let his foot push him away from the tree, as he started to move towards the shadow. He moved with speed that only faes could, getting ready for a fight should it arise. He was ready, with his hand in the pocket where his blade felt cold to the touch.

Olly knew of Taha. They had met on several occasions, mostly friendly, but had never really interacted. Most of the other Lords and Ladies recommended him if you needed someone gone. Who he really needed gone was just a minor person on his command chain, and he could easily do it himself. He'd never seen Taha at work though, and thought it would be a good little training opportunity for his benefit. There could be work in it for him in the future.
Perched on top of a building about three buildings away, he watched the silent assassin just standing there, waiting on Olly to show. He'd decided to take this time to observe Taha. His patience would be tested, though that was sure to be unflappable. That note had been tricky to devise, so he was certainly smart enough to get the job done without being known. And, certain Ladies of the Court had commented on his... finesse. Almost twenty minutes later, Taha was still standing there, muttering a Song.
Deciding it was time to make his presence known. Gliding, a Song on his lips, down from the building to hover behind Taha, so as not to make a sound with the ground. He surveyed the man now in front of him. Mostly average, a strong glamour to be sure, but nothing near his ability. The plain clothing indicated that he wasn't something to be stared at, regardless of whatever physical features he might posses.
When he was finished with his inspection, Olly touched down, and took a step towards him. "Taha Mahalasioan. Lesser Noble family of the Unseelie Court. What an almost pleasant surprise to see that you could make it. I trust your forays into this world have been as fun as your little human? Oh don't look surprised, we at Court keep tabs on everyone of import. You're tryst with humans isn't why I'm here either."
Traditional human greeting demanded that he shake Taha's hand. Thank the heavens for being raised Fae; who willingly touches someone else for pleasantries? "Given your reputation, I feel safe in assuming that my job for you won't lead back to me? For insurance's sake use a Song on him - don't let them think a Human did it. Otherwise, they'll suspect me. Now, I understand you aren't always after monetary gain. Is there something I could do for you that would make your life easier? A new Song, perhaps?"
His cards were on the table. Now all Olly had to do was wait for the bait to catch.

Taha didn't move as the stranger came closer. He wasn't in any hurry. He was simply curious and slightly amused. Truth be told, the code he used mostly were his old masters one. He looked as the fae came closer, he knew him. True he was somewhat high in some circles, however Taha had to know everyone in his line of business, and staying out of sight was crucial. However there were more that knew him. Only because he let them. He could not be a shadow entirely, if he was there would not come any jobs his way.
Again truth be told, he got most of his work from his masters good name, yet he had his own name. He just looked at the fae in front of him. He stopped singing as he looked at the stranger. What was his name? Olym Feir. Right he was a brat, however he had money and power. Taha just leaned back at the tree and simply looked at the brat. He didn't move, as he waited for him to talk. And by god he talked a lot.
He looked at the kid, yeah kid. He was much younger than Taha. Not that Taha was stupid enough to believe he was smarter than the kid. It could go either way. However he would listen to the brat until he learned what he wanted to know. The brat startd talking.
The kid was flying,, and Taha still looked calm, though he had been slightly taken back that he had not managed to keep Rissa safe, that would mean the hit on her, could be because of him. Not something he liked to think about. However he didn't move, it was clear that the rant was not over with yet. A new Song, perhaps?" Taha looked at Olym, wondering what he should do.
He just nodded, a new song. This brat was strong with songs, that much was true, however learning a new one, always came with a price. Taha doubted that the assassination was the only price for a new song. However he waited till he was shown the job, he didn't say his price. Making sure it was related to the faes, what kind of fae wanted that. Well Taha knew, he was standing right in front of one now. However he didn't wait. He looked at Olym and just wondered which song he should claim for this job. He wondered what song would gain him the most.
He had a song of shadows, so what did he need. Something that would keep his brothers and their wives and child safe. He thought about his nephew, the child was so strong already. However Taha would keep him safe, so which song? He stopped in his tracks, turning to face olym. ”The price will be a song that allows me to control fire, I am sure that wouldn't be a problem for you. Why the price that high? Well you want the faes to take the blame. So that is the price!” Taha just started to walk away. He didn't hurry, as he wasn't scared or needed to be anywhere.
All he did was walk back to his house. It was hidden from prying eyes, and only someone that was invited to the house could find it. Not even his brother knew where he lived. One could call it an insurance. Taha walked to his house, using glamour to hide the place, he walked into a house, but the glamour made it look like it was on the other side of the road. For anyone to see the real house one had to know the exact song, and sing it backwards. Not something anyone could do. Taha didn't do things easy. That would just be boring. However he would have to work tomorrow. After he had gotten restocked with new and fun things.
He wanted a new blade, and a few other handy things that every ordinary fae would need. Well any fae in the assassination business. He didn't smile, he rarely did smile. Rissa was the single person that had seen his smile. Heard his voice. It didn't matter, he was on a job and would be leaving his house after changing his clothes. He left the place without any incidents. The job was painfully easy. And he made sure to make the song strong enough so that the police would feel it when they came to the crime scene. Beside he made sure there was a witness, of course he had modified a few things, like she never did see him.
Yet he made sure she believed she had seen it all. It amused him. He was back at midnight, the evening paper had been full with the murder, and Taha had taken it as evidence. Not that he really needed it, but it would never hurt to be sure. Beside he had asked for a steep price. He leaned against the same tree, he had been under the night before. He didn't move, as he waited for Olym to show up. The question would be, would he have a song with him, or would Taha have to take a free hit, just to make a statement?

Such impudence in the younger generations these days. Demanding a price and then walking off. Why, if it bothered him that much, he might have been tempted to not bring a reward. But, things like this
As Taha stalked off, Olly decided to follow, again floating in the sky. Right up until he walked into a Glamoured area. Son of a. It took stopping his current Song, and concentrating solely on the Glamour in effect for over an hour. But he did it. The Glamour was not destroyed, the favored option but with the privacy and the trust, but it did let Olly see through it. The real house was on the opposite side of the road, a neat parlor trick to be sure. That said, without knowing what Song he'd used, he would never be able to enter the house. But he knew where it was now. Or it's general vicinity at least.
Obtaining a Fire Song would be easy enough. The Song Books he'd obtained in his youth were certainly treasures of wealth in their own right. However, impudence could be met on a fair playing field.
When Olym read the morning papers, news of a dead man was making him shine from ear to ear. The job was done, a witness, and the police none the wiser. His day went from boring to drab. A routine clutter of paperwork and coffee and Tympie failing at life in general. That boy was a work in progress if he ever saw one. His only job today had been to deliver a simple contract to O'Sullivan chit, and he ended up giving her a picture of him. Which may work out better than he had hoped, but that had yet to be determined.
That night, Olly returned to the tree, payment in hand. He was fashionably late, having gotten distracted by what to wear to meet him. Something dark for the night, or something extravagant to show there would be more than where this came from. He had written the Song down on some paper, and currently had it folded into his back pocket. There were no theatrics with this entrance. A simple Song to fly him there, and then cushion the landing.
"Oh good, you're already here. I'd thought that after you ran off from our last meeting that I'd have to send you another decoder ring to give you payments." No one said he had to play nice with the assassin. "And before I do, I don't want you to think of me as some kind of Fae hater. I chose that method of death, because we've been on the outs with each other, and this world only knows me as a human." Olly reached into his back pocket and pulled out the slip of paper. On it was a Song useful for creating a distraction. It would cause a blinding light to flash in front of him for an easy escape. Instead of simply handing it to him, Olly grabbed his hand, so he couldn't leave.
"From here on out, you'll be killing people like a normal, human assassin. How unfashionably drab I know. Your next target is a woman named Lisa. She lives next to the O'Sullivan Pub. Make it a suicide. And until I have an actual need for you, just keep killing random pedestrians. Keep it limited to that torrid group of Fae haters, and then branch out to some of the supporters - we don't want it to look like we're systematically taking them all out, now do we." The plan at this point was to keep him occupied with targets until he could gain the O'Sullivan girl.
"Rest assured, you're services will be compensated for adequately. If you have need of me, or a different type of reward, then contact me at this address. Further contact between us will also occur here. If you receive another message from me, just show up. I'll wait for you."

Taha nodded, he didn’t mind working for someone that actually paid what they had agreed. And didn’t try to get out of the payment. Taha just looked at Olym as he talked. God this fae loved the sound of his own voice. However killing random bystanders, fae haters. Well that could be done. He had a few ideas. However the next job made him tense. Lisa. He knew her, he had pretty much knew all that had anything to do with Rissa, or who lived or worked around her. However Taha didn't say anything. He got it, Olym was planning something. And he was meant to keep busy. Taha didn't move or say anything. There was no need for it.
The order was simple and there was no way he could have misunderstood the order. However a kill so close to Rissa. Well he knew that he would have to do it, and he knew Rissa might draw the right conclusion, and know he had killed someone right next door. However it could be done. Besides he could keep an eye on her, while working on the kill. A suicide. How crude, however it could be fun. He had been reading the history of mankind. And a lot did kill themselves. Taha didn't understand the need to end ones life. However then humans never did make sense.
Taha just walked slowly through the park, as he just felt the pull of nature. The paper with the new song was burning holes in his pocket. He stopped at a bunch of trees, and simply looked at the paper. He frowned when he saw it wasn't a song to control fire as he had requested. True it was protection, something one could never have to little of. However this was a break of the deal. Taha looked at the paper, as he memorized every word of it.
The song was crude and easy, and he had no trouble singing it or even storing in the back of his mind. He even tried to sing it, just to see what it did precisely. When the flare of light exploded around him, he just looked at it. It wasn't anything remotely close to what he had wanted, however that would just show that from now on, he would take the payment up front with the brat. Taha looked around and simply left the park. He walked towards this Lise person, as he would need information about her.
If he was to make the suicide look real, he would need to know what she did for al living. More specific, than what he already knew. He would have to break into her place, and go over her things, to see if there was something he could use. Taha just walked over to her place, he sung the song he had used on Rissa only a few nights ago. Soon the entire building was sleeping, as he sneaked inside. Taha looked out of the window, at the bar that Rissas family owned. He sighed and looked at this Lisa.
Taha sung the song quietly, as he went over Lisas things. He noticed her pictures were torn, and he could do the math. She had broken up with someone or that someone had broken up with her. This was the perfect in he had needed. He simply took her diary and looked at it. It could be easily changed. He could do that over a night. So he put the diary in his pocket and just looked at the girl he was to kill. It would be clean, as women would usually make it less messy as they thought about who would have to clean the place. Where men would just blow their brains out, or something just as messy.
Taha just looked the apartment over, and left before the effect of the song was gone. He pulled his jacket up over his head as the rain was icy cold. However he didn't freeze. He simply kept the diary dry, and hurried home. He wanted to get this job over with. He sat down at his desk and just looked the diary over, he quickly found her style, and he had a clean paper he could write on till he had mastered her style of writing. The T's were slightly tricky but the rest was simple and forward. He would have the changed done by morning.
Taha sang a song. That deleted some of the last pages. All up to the break-up. It was perfect. Her boyfriend had cheated on her, and now all Taha had to do, was write her more depressive pages. He managed to get it all done before noon. He took a shower and went to bed for a couple of hours. He walked around the town, as he observed everything. Making mental notes about everything. As one never knew when one would need it.
Taha found the pharmacy. The bought the pain killers, he bought the pills for nausea, and the alcohol was bought in a local store. He had it all in a bag, and simply walked over to Lisa. He used the glamour to make sure no one saw him enter the place. He looked around, as he was alone in the apartment. He messed it up, not trashing the place, but more give it the look of someone that didn't have the will power to keep it clean. He sat down on a chair and simply just waited for the girl to come home.
When she did get home, she didn't flip when she saw him. She just looked curious at him. He walked up to her, and and simply pulled her into his arms. As he hummed a song that would keep her calm, it would make him manipulate her. He moved slightly away, as he pointed at the scotch that he had bought for her, with her own credit card. He could be a sneaky bastard. Honestly, there were days where he missed having a friend. A companion. That could work with him, or give him work that were funny.
He didn't have to push her to take the pills, he raised an eye brow as she simply took all of the pills and washed them down with the Scotch. She looked at him, as the tears ran down her face. Taha didn't move, as he looked at her. If there was one thing he had to say he liked about humans it had to be their tears. He looked at her, as he started to remove every trace of him being there. Even the song was removed. And not even the best fae would be able to sense him. It was a neat party trick, and it had saved his ass many times before.
He left the place when the girl was dead. He moved in the shadows. Walking home. As he needed a shower. He hated touching humans and their things. He was slightly obsessive. He did like being a fae. Touching wasn't something any of them were big on. He looked at the clothes he had worn. He didn't think twice about it, as he lit the fireplace, and threw the clothes into the flames. He watched as the soiled clothes were burned into ashes. Humans touch. Urgh. He didn't know any un-seelie fae that liked that. For him the clothes were utterly destroyed, and could not be washed clean.
So he had a lot of clothes, and should he lack some he could always buy some, while stalking Rissa. However the job was done, and he had no plans to go to the park tonight. He missed Rissa, and he would drop by her, just to see what she was up to. He didn't need much. Just a sight of her, to reassure she was safe. He didn't have to wait long when he finally stood outside her apartment. He dint do much just look at her, before he went back. It was late, he was bored, so he grabbed a huge book he had managed to steal in an earlier kill. Songs.
